Greetings Brothers and Sisters, One God, The Power of the Trinity –His Imperial Majesty, Emperor Haile Selassie I
From the moment we are born and throughout our life we are governed by politics. Politics governs: the food we eat, the clothes we wear, the air we breathe, the water we drink, the medicine we take, the vaccination our babies are given, the education our children receive, the mind of the mentally unstable, the institutionalisation of the young men/women in the penal system and where ones are laid to rest.
Although the Rastafarian People make up a sizeable percentage of the Jamaican population, they have no political representation, and as such have no voice in the Upper House - the Senate or the Lower House - House of Representatives.
We must be courageous to change the things that we can change.
Please support Ammanuel Ascento Foxe, Commander of the Order of the Star of Ethiopia, as Senator in Jamaica Parliament to represent Rastafarian people and all conscientious people in Jamaica.
Please visit the Church’s website at www.himchurch. org and leave your name and email address to support and join our work for the restoration of the dynasty of Emperor Haile Selassie I.
One Love Abuna Ammanuel Foxe Haile Selassie I Liveth!

The blood that was shed and the sufferings that were endured are today Africa's advocates for freedom and unity. Those who refused to accept the judgement passed upon them by the enemy, who held unswervingly through the darkest hours to a vision of an Africa emancipated from political, economic and spiritual domination, will be remembered and revered wherever Africans meet. Many of them never set foot on this continent. Others were born and died here. What we may utter today can add little to the heroic struggle of those who, by their example, have shown us how precious are freedom and human dignity and of how little value is life without them. Their deeds are written in history.

"There is no Repatriation"
|
|
The time has come when we as Rastafarians, Haile Selassie I-ites should be asking the question of our passionate desire for repatriation and our survival as a people.
From 1930 to the present moment in time, our cry for repatriation has become domicile with respect. In 1974-75, the abolition of the Monarchy of Emperor Haile Selassie I’s rule by a proclamation by the Stalinist government, has destroyed the hope and aspiration of millions of people. Today Rastafarians are at a crossroads. The question of where we are coming from, where we are today and where we are going. Ethiopia has had a long line of Kings and monarchies stretching back over three thousand years.
There is no Ethiopia today because the Monarchy is absent. What will we tell our loved ones and families. Are we going to tell them that we made a mistake and fail as how the Christ Jesus movement failed the people who are looking to return to heaven and up to now has not found heaven. Buddah, Ramah and other great seer movements failed, yet their membership still have faith in their leaders. The Rastafarian movement is different because it is not eccliastically organized with a leadership of spirituality.
For the first ime in history there is a Rastafarian doctrine or theology called Rastalogy with a spiritual leadership from the Abuna, compatible to an Overseer (Ezekiel 2: 5 – “And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they are a rebellious house,) yet shall know that there hath been a prophet among them”; yet be able to give the respect spoken of by Emperor Haile Selassie I’s speech on leadership and what the leader expects from the membership. The lack of acknowledgement of this leadership has caused a stagnation and a negative development that today the abolition of the monarchy and no repatriation in our lifetime, leaves Rastafarians naked and socially and economically displaced.
This is why we are calling this International Conference to discuss where we are coming from, where we are and where we are going. The question of no repatriation in our lifetime with the abolition of the Solomonic dynasty cannot be accepted.
The Ethiopia of today that we are seeing with the Oromo Liberation Front (OLF), the All People Amhara Organization (AAPO) and the Tigray People Liberation Front (TPLF) etc create a problem of over two million displaced people which cannot be solved without the presence of the Monarchy. If there is no Emperor Haile Selassie I dynasty and only the Stalinist/Marxist government under the disguise of democracy being pushed by the present Prime Minister, who wants to become King with the blessing of his mother, then there is no repatriation.
With the setting up of his kingdom with his own generals that he pardoned and returned from exile, including Mengistu, the question of Rastafarians in Ethiopia who is not identified as a part of any ethnic groups in Ethiopia, who will represent them? Only Emperor Haile Selassie I. The statement made by Emperor Haile Selassie I in the Parliament of Jamaica in 1966 that Jamaicans and Ethiopians are ‘blood brothers’ is not supported by the present government. So repatriation in the eyes of the present government is nonexistent.
Today, the Church of Haile Selassie I and the Imperial Ethiopian World Federation Inc., are the only legal entities in the world that represent Rastafarians whether they accept it or not.
Please come to the conference with any opposition to the above statements or questions dealing with repatriation in our lifetime and seeing where we are going in the future with our loved ones and families.
Abuna Ammanuel Foxe

Brief history of I.E.W.F. Political Party
|
|
Ba Beta Kristiyan 'The Church of Haile Selassie I' (The Church) and The Imperial Ethiopian World Federation, Inc. (I.E.W.F.) is a spiritual and political organization. Supporting Rasta beliefs in the West and Jamaica, the Headquarters of the The Church and the I.E.W.F.
The Brethren and Sistren participated in the 1997 and 2000 General Elections, as well as, the local government election in 2003. There were members contesting the election from Kingston to the country areas. The Rastafarian Community was very supportive of our effort. Most of the Rastafarians are not politically motivated, but if we don't have members in parliament and local government, then our voices cannot be heard. Rastafarians are about 40% of the Jamaican population, but as said before, they are not politically motivated. In the upcoming election we must have someone elected in the parliament to represent the Rastafarian Community.
We want to have our own schools, health centers, etc., so whenever our children go to school they can be respected and loved by all. Our community must be very strong both spiritually and politically. In the Caribbean, the Rastafarian Community lacks local leadership. In each Caribbean country where The Church and The I.E.W.F. offices are located, we strongly encourage members to be politically motivated and contest any government elections held in their respective countries.
In Jamaica, The I.E.W.F., Inc., is the first Rastafarian organization to run against the JLP and PNP, the two major political parties in the country. Each time we contest an election, our candidates' votes increase significantly. As long as there is an election in Jamaica, we will be supporting I.E.W.F. members representing their constituency.
In the last Jamaican general election, The I.E.W.F. had a political meeting in Central Halfway Tree, which went well with an overwhelming support from Rastafarians and people who hate aggression. Rastafarians in Jamaica are educated people such as Lawyers, Doctors, Nurses, Project Managers, blue collar workers and hold prominent positions in the private sector.
There are other Rastafarians organizations that choose to be non-political, but they will have to change their perception about politics because it is the only way to have representative is by having a member in parliament and the Senate. For example, with a member in parliament, we can address the incidences of police brutality, employment (last hired, first fired), etc.
The I.E.W.F. will have to take up the initiative to educate the Rastafarians about the importance of exercising their franchise by being innumerated to vote in every election. By doing this Rastafarians will have a voice in parliament at all times. Rastafarians who participate in the election are people who live in the area and know the needs of the community. It's not like the other parties where the candidates come and talk to the people then go back up town to their mansions. When Rastafarians get power in Jamaica, there won't be any political killings of innocent citizens because this happens only because of the constant PNP and JLP segregation.
Our members when elected in Parliament and Senate will look after everyone's interest, not only Rastafarians. The citizens of Jamaica will know that Rastafarians are not just herb smokers; they have people's interest at heart.

Excerpts from Speeches on Africa and African Unity, by The Father of Africa, H.I.M. Emperor Haile Selassie I
|
|
"Africa and African unity are more than mere words...." - Girmawi Qedamawi Haile Selassie
"The spirit of Africa...is deserving of the greatness which Africa demands of it. Let Us prove Ourselves worthy of it." - Girmawi Qedamawi Haile Selassie
"Wherever there is African blood there is a basis for greater African unity." - Girmawi Qedamawi Haile Selassie
"Africa must speak with one voice ringing out in powerful, harmonious tones." - Girmawi Qedamawi Haile Selassie
"The fact that We succeeded in laying the foundation of Our unity, was due primarily to the desire of all Africans to unite in a common struggle against colonialism, poverty, disease and ignorance, which are enemies of Africa. " - Girmawi Qedamawi Haile Selassie
"We encountered a sense of purpose, of dedication, of vision, which, We are persuaded, found its genesis in the common acceptance of the ideal of African unity, in the common response to the unique challenge which modern Africa presents to each of Us, in the common crusade in which We are all enlisted....It is this spirit which will sweep Us forward to final, conclusive, glorious victory in the struggle to overcome the obstacles which still remain before Us in the making of a united Africa. It is in this, We believe, that the real triumph of Africa lies today." - Girmawi Qedamawi Haile Selassie
"There are those who claim that African unity is impossible, that the forces that pull Us, some in this direction, others in that, are too strong to be overcome. Around Us, there is no lack of doubt and pessimism, no absence of critics and criticism. These speak of Africa, of Africa's future and of her position in the Twentieth Century in sepulchral tones. They predict dissension and disintegration among Africans and internecine strife and chaos on Our continent. Let Us confound these and, by Our deeds, disperse them in confusion. There are others whose hopes for Africa are bright, who stand with faces upturned in wonder and awe at the creation of a new and happier life, who have dedicated themselves to its realization and are spurred on by the example of their brothers to whom they owe the achievements of Africa's past. Let Us reward their trust and merit their approval." - Girmawi Qedamawi Haile Selassie
"Leave aside all misguided aims and groundless ambitions that can only lead Us into wasteful and time-consuming conflicts. Let Us instead mobilize Our resources for Our common good and for the good of Our great continent. This is the heartfelt desire of African peoples everywhere, and it is the duty of Us all always to bear this in mind and to strive for its full and final achievement. " - Girmawi Qedamawi Haile Selassie
"So long as the spirit of Africa prevails and stirs within Us, so long as We continue to think and work and act within the African context which We have created, imbued by the African atmosphere which surrounds and pervades Us, We are confident that the goals We seek shall be attained. We have created this spirit; it is Our child." - Girmawi Qedamawi Haile Selassie
"Our greatest weapon is the oneness which We share as Africans." - Girmawi Qedamawi Haile Selassie
"Concerted action, cooperation, coordinated policies....are not just words, but great and noble conceptions. In them, and in what they stand for can be found the key to fulfillment of the longings and the hopes of millions of Africans." - Girmawi Qedamawi Haile Selassie

The Prime Minister’s Nobel Peace Prize
A Statement from the Crown Council of Ethiopia by its President,
His Imperial Highness Prince Ermias Sahle-Selassie Haile-Selassie
|
|
October 13, 2019
Ethiopians around the world share with joy the news that our Prime Minister, Dr Abiy Ahmed Ali, has been named the recipient of the 2019 Nobel Peace Prize.
The 27-year old journalist credits Abiy’s peace deal with Eritrea last year for reuniting him with his father. Like thousands of other families they had been separated by two decades of hostility with Ethiopia’s longtime enemy.The Award was specifically to recognize Dr Abiy’s “efforts to achieve peace and international cooperation, and in particular his decisive initiative to resolve the border conflict with neighboring Eritrea”.
We recognize that he took a vital step in the reconstruction not only of Ethiopia, but of our entire region of peoples of our common family. Dr Abiy’s gesture toward restoring familial relations with Eritrea was a genuine and spontaneous act of reconciliation between the peoples of Ethiopia and Eritrea. It was immediately reciprocated by the Eritrean People and leadership. It was a gesture based on the restoration of justice for individual people of our family of nations, and, as such, certainly merited recognition by the international community.
Dr Abiy’s action restored the unity of many families, and restored hope to so many people. It was, indeed, a vital early step in the reconstruction of the dignity, history, and mutual respect of all of the peoples of our great family.
The Crown Council not only applauds Dr Abiy and congratulates him for the Nobel Peace Prize, but urges that we all see this as the start of the restoration of the mutual respect with which all Ethiopians – and those of our extended family in Eritrea, Djibouti, and the Somali peoples – greet and treat each other. We join in urging respect for the great traditions and languages which make distinct each society of our family, knowing that we all share a common value and identity – our Ethiopianness, formal or informal – under which we can value the distinct pride of our various regions and their respective governments.
God Bless Prime Minister Abiy. God Bless Ethiopia.

On His Imperial Majesty's Birthday
Remarks at the Ethiopian Embassy, Washington, DC on the 16th of Hamle 2011 (23 July 2019)
by His Imperial Highness Prince Ermias Sahle-Selassie Haile-Selassie, President of the Crown Council of Ethiopia
|
|
Today, the 16th of Hamle 2011 (July 23, 2019), marks the 127th anniversary of the birth of His Imperial Majesty Emperor Haile Selassie I. In another month, we will mark the 44th anniversary of his murder.
Today, we mark the achievements of his remarkable 83 years of service to Ethiopia, to Africa, to the World, and to God.
The Emperor is generally regarded as the inspiration and guiding hand in creating the Organization of African Unity on May 25, 1963, in Addis Ababa. But that act was but one aspect of his inspiration to all Africans, and while he remained alive he totally embodied the concept of African dignity, African harmony, and the leadership which Ethiopia could demonstrate to all Africans and those of African descent.
His forebear, His Imperial Majesty Emperor Menelik II, gave the initial rallying call to Africans when, in 1896 in the Western calendar, he and his forces staged the first major defeat in Africa of an invading European power at the Battle of Adwa. But it was Emperor Haile Selassie’s defeat of the invading Italian forces in 1941 which gave the West its first victory in the war against fascism. In that, he inspired not only the West, but all of Africa, and with that action ensured that European colonialism in Africa was to become a thing of the past.
The Emperor, who was the foremost proponent of collective global action, was the great prophet of what would happen if the world succumbed to fascism, when Italy invaded Ethiopia again in 1935. He told the League of Nations: Today it is us; tomorrow it is you.
His Majesty was not only a globalist, but a profoundly passionate nationalist, and an inspiring regionalist. He saw no conflict in his belief that the nation-state of Ethiopia — a collection of jewels of different peoples, languages, and cultures — could become a vibrant and self-reliant entity, while also championing the rise of all African societies within a context of global trade and cooperation. Today, as we see such a great schism between globalists and nationalists in many countries around the world, we would do well to learn from Emperor Haile Selassie. And in Ethiopia itself, we would do well to understand why he championed each and every group and culture within our great common identity as Ethiopians. He did not belittle any component of our great Ethiopian society, but, rather, sought for each facet of our cultures and religions a place in a glittering Ethiopian identity.
In so doing, the Emperor pioneered the creation of modern states in Africa; states which could each embody diverse cultures and peoples. He was, then, the great exemplar of unity, of inclusion, of cooperation, and of ensuring that all people felt valued, inspired, and had the ability to contribute and soar to their fullest destiny.
We thank H.E. Ambassador Fitsum Arega for opening his Embassy doors to us on this historic day. We also wish to thank the organizers of tonight’s event. It has been an amazing year to witness the erection of the statue of His Majesty at the African Union headquarters in Addis Ababa. We are grateful to H. E. Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and his Administration for working with the A.U. to make this a reality. We pray that peace prevails in Ethiopia. May God Bless Ethiopia; to Bless and inspire the work of a harmonious and cooperative Africa for which the Emperor worked, and to ask God, most humbly, to Bless the sacred memory of Emperor Haile Selassie I.

~~~ Rastafarian Holy Days ~~~
|
|
|
|
Rastafarians have many days that are celebrated and recognized; 5 days amongst many, which are considered special and sacred are:
|
|
| |
|
The date in which we are given life to serve our God in the image in which we are created; to serve with all our mind, heart, and soul.
|
|
|
This day represents a major Holy Day with service. After service, family day celebration starts with the playing of Rasta Music (e.g., Reggae) with refreshments, closing with a prayer from the Priest.
...Today is a day on which Ethiopia is stretching her hands to God in joy and thankfulness and revealing her happiness to her children.... This day, on which the people of Ethiopia are freed from oppressive foreign yoke and eternal servitude and on which I am enabled to rejoin my people, whom I love and have longed for, will be honoured as a holiday to be commemorated annually as a Great Ethiopian Anniversary. On this day we shall remember those heroic warriors who, determined not to surrender the great charge passed on to them by their Father, became sacrifices, shedding their blood and breaking their bones for the freedom of the land they loved and for the honour of their Emperor and their flag. The history of Ethiopia will be witness for these Our warriors.
|
|
|
Rastalogy accepts this day as the Second Advent of the Cosmic Christ, fulfilling Isaiah Chapter 9 v6, “For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given, Tafari.”.
This day represents a major Holy Day; celebrated as a family day with a short prayer service giving thanks to Yahweh, for the birth of His Son, Tafari. Service starts (e.g., 11am), followed by a celebration consisting of Rasta Music and food.
|
|
October 7th 1928 (7 Maskaram) - Divine Kingship of Rastafari
|
|
This day represents a Holy Day. This is when Rastafari was acclaimed ‘Negus’, King of Ethiopia, fulfilling Isaiah 43v15, “I am the Lord Rastafari your Holy One Creator of Israel, your King.”. The Church of Haile Selassie I celebrates with short Prayer and Service starting at 11am.
|
|
|
This represents the Transfiguration Day of Negus Ras Tafari to Emperor Haile Selassie I, ‘Might of the Trinity’ fulfilling Revelation 5v5, “The Lion of the Tribe of Judah has prevailed.” This day represents the Holy Day when Rastafari was acclaimed ‘Negus Negast’ King of kings Emperor of Ethiopia; Fulfilling Isaiah 43v15;
“I am the Lord Rastafari your Holy One Creator of Israel, your King.”
This day is celebrated quietly with a short Prayer Service (e.g., starting 11am). Then celebrate with Rasta Music, rice and peas, vegetables and fish, closing with a short Prayer of thanksgiving by the Priest with blessing.
The history of Ethiopia for the past half a century has revolved materially around events in which Haile Selassie First has been the prime mover. In times of stress, in times of joy, his leadership in resolving the hopes, fears and aspirations of the Ethiopian people has been distinctive, his guidance indispensable and decisive. His people and the world have acclaimed him a fighter not only in defence of the integrity of Ethiopia. He has been a champion for world peace and a man whose principles have contributed manfully to the history of his day and age. His public utterances in this phase of the national and international drama of peace and war speak by themselves most eloquently.
This is an opportunity for all those who believe in the plight of Ethiopians, Africans, Rastafarians, and conscientious people around the globe, who Love Justice and hate aggression, to pledge their support by donating to The Church of Haile Selassie I and the I.E.W.F. in the execution of the Aims and Objectives of the Imperial Ethiopian World Federation.
We overstand the various financial pressures we face in our daily lives and the numerous worthy causes needing our financial contributions; therefore we are asking our supporters to "reach out" on each of our Holy Days and donate (1$, 5$, 10$, 20$, 50$, 100$, 500$+, etc.) whatever we are able to give on one of those days listed above (no amount is too small). We hope this relieves some pressure, but still provides specific opportunities throughout the year to contribute to a cause important to each of us.
The Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church Still Under Attack ††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††
The Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church is still under mob attack. Yesterday in the Eastern Harerge Dioceses, Christians have been killed and parish churches are burned which include one of the very ancient parish Genda St. Mary church. The attack in Kersa and water province which is found in Eastern Harerge are very worst than ever. The Ethiopian Orthodox Church faithful still live between life and death in Oromia, Dire Dawa and Harerge Regions. The church has not yet recovered from recent attacks, still church’s properties and building are being demolished and Christians are killed in front of the Oromia Special Forces.
In Ethiopia peoples use the church as shelter during any trouble time and priests are peace maker among the society, the church is symbol of Unity and Love some ethnic based political groups wrongly guided their followers to stand against Ethiopian Orthodox Church believers.
I read from EOTC broadcast Agency FB, Christian’s houses are burned, women, childern, elders are being targeted to death.
I am strongly seeking the Ethiopian government to act as a leader. Its look like the government allow the death of church believers.
The killers have Anti-Christian motives but they cover up by the political demands. Almost all in all the High government officials are not the Ethiopian Orthodox Church believers but their lack of leadership consequences makes the church to suffer without any reasons.
I hope the light will come after the darkness, life after death.
Let us pray For Ethiopian real Christians with demanding Justice for innocent peoples.
