- "Your profession calls for discipline -- the discipline of study and devotion to obedience and duty, the
discipline of self-restraint and cleanliness, and the discipline of life-long devotion to learning, since knowledge knows no bounds. If you take these fundamental disciplines as your guiding principles, your work will display the highest qualities."

Proverbs 31 v25-31:
*25 Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come. 26 She openth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness. 27 She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness. 28 Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. 29 Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all. 30 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain; but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised. 31 Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.

* Who Can Find a Virtuous Woman -- This proverb is about the importance of the African/Edenic woman. In many societies on the African continent the role of the woman is held in high esteem, whether intellectual, spiritual, or domestic. The first accomplishment of the African woman, in partnership with her husband, was the creation of a functioning family unit. This major step in human development laid the foundation for the organization of all subsequent societies and institutions. The myriad of domestic responsibilities include preparing an adequate nutritional meal, serving as the life-line, and linking of man with fellow man in child-bearing and rearing. But all these activities give the African/Edenic woman great satisfaction since these attributes are not taken for granted. In Africa the woman's place was not only with her family; she often ruled nations with unquestionable authority. Many African women were great militarists, and on occasion led their armies in battle. The Africans had produced societies where men were secure enough to let women advance as far as their talent, royal lineage, and prerogatives would take them. In many parts of Africa women are the marketers and producers of many goods. The African/Edenic woman has always played a strong complementing role in African/Edenic society. In some ways she completely controls whole segments of the lifestyle, this is the case in both English and French-speaking West Africa, where the female controls food production from the preparation of the ground to the selling of the produce to the spending and investing of the proceeds. -- 31:1-30
